Meet Our Counselor

Mrs. Firo

Hello! I’m Mrs. Firo, your new school counselor for the 2024-2025 school year. With 10 years of experience in education, I have had the privilege of working with students of all ages, supporting them in achieving their full potential both inside and outside the classroom.

My approach to counseling is rooted in empathy, understanding, and a commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive environment where every student feels valued and heard. I work closely with students, parents, and educators to address the unique needs of each child, providing guidance on academic challenges, social-emotional development, and future planning.

I graduated from the University of North Texas at Dallas with a bachelor’s in interdisciplinary studies in 2013. In May 2023, I graduated with my masters in School Counseling from Lamar University.

When I’m not at school, I enjoy reading, watching a new show or movie, and spending time with my family. I believe in the power of positive relationships and am always here to listen, support, and encourage students as they grow and learn. Together, we can make this school a place where every student thrives!
